Terms of service

Agreement

These terms are between you and Velzosoft ("we", "us"), and cover the PRCHD macOS host application and the PRCHD phone and tablet applications (together, "the software"). By installing or using the software, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

What PRCHD is

The software is a remote control for AI coding agents running on hardware you own. It does not provide an AI agent, and it does not provide a network. You supply those: a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex, with your own subscription, and a Tailscale network connecting your own devices.

Cost

The software is provided free of charge, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or advertising. Costs incurred with third parties — your coding agent subscription and the tokens it consumes, and any paid Tailscale plan — are between you and those providers.

Your responsibility for what the agent does

This is the most important term here. The software lets an AI coding agent read, write, execute, and commit on your machine, and lets you run arbitrary commands there from your phone. You are solely responsible for:

• What you instruct the agent to do, and the mode you allow it to run in
• Reviewing changes before you merge them
• Any code, data, or configuration that is modified or deleted as a result
• Keeping backups and version control history you can fall back on
• Securing the devices you pair, and revoking any device you no longer control

AI agents make mistakes, including confident ones. Review the output. The software provides diffs, checks, and an explicit merge step precisely so you can.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the software to:

• Access machines, networks, or repositories you are not authorised to access
• Break any applicable law, or the terms of your coding agent provider or any other service
• Distribute malware, or attack or disrupt any system

No warranty

The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will preserve any particular piece of work.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, code, profits, or business, arising from your use of the software — including anything done by an AI agent you directed through it. Because the software is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability is limited to zero.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Third-party services

The software interoperates with services we do not control, including Anthropic's Claude Code, OpenAI's Codex, Tailscale, and GitHub. Your use of those is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for their behaviour, availability, or charges. PRCHD is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Updates

The macOS host can check for and install signed updates. Updates may change, add, or remove functionality. You can decline an update by not installing it, though we recommend running a current version.

Termination

You may stop using the software at any time by uninstalling it and revoking any paired devices. These terms end when you do.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the updated date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept the revised terms.
